I hope this finds you all safe and well.

I hope that with the weather turning milder at the end of this week, you have been able to get out for a walk, or managed to get the kids out on their scooters/bikes. I certainly have not missed scraping the ice from my windscreen in recent days!

Thank you to all of you who have worked hard with your children this week and engaged with their class teacher. This is very much appreciated. We know many of you are also juggling working from home, so please just do what you can, whilst keeping in touch with school. I have really enjoyed seeing more of the children’s remote learning work and have been in touch with several of them to tell them this.

The Government has announced that it hopes to see schools reopen from Monday 8th March. As yet, we do not know how this will look, whether it will be all year groups or a phased return. We will update you on our website when we have more details.

This week we have had 2 members of staff and 2 children test positive for COVID. Not all of these people have been in school, though we still report on this to the LA. If your child does test positive, please let us know in school.

As ever, we are here to help with any concerns or worries you might have at this challenging time, so please contact us on 0191 4564977 or email myself

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Todd
