We are so proud that we won best attendance in KS1 for week beginning 28.4.22.
Science Coordinators, Mrs Dowens and Miss Pearce, judged Archie’s entry as the winner. He designed a poster to show what he had learned during British Science Week. Congratulations Archie!
After many months our shrubs from The Woodland Trust finally arrived. Most of the children in the school have had the chance to go out and help plant some.
We have a range of shrubs growing and we are really pleased with how they are looking.
Thank you to everyone who helped to plant them out and we look forward to seeing them grow.
The children thoroughly enjoyed wearing fancy dress, non uniform and their pyjamas to raise money that will make a difference to people’s lives. Some children designed a habitat for their red nose and others used construction materials to build it. Fantastic! Thank you very much for your contributions.
The children received a certificate in recognition of their work as scientists. During the week, they explored the school grounds and identified different trees then back in the classroom, labelled the different parts. Mrs Jewitt supported the children to plant Dogwood at the edge of the KS2 field which they really enjoyed. The children also studied the lifecycle of a plant. The children worked hard and the sessions were a great success.
On Friday the 18th of March, all staff and pupils are encouraged to wear non-uniform, fancy dress or their pyjamas. This is for a suggested donation of £1 and all proceeds will go towards making a difference to people’s lives. For more information follow the link to the official Red Nose Day website. Watch this space for Friday’s photos!
