Today we celebrated being unique by wearing odd socks. We talked about our socks, why we chose to wear those particular ones and why some of them are special to us. The children also enjoyed singing along to Andy and the Odd Socks. Follow the link to join in:
We have been celebrating our differences in nursery today by wearing our odd socks. We talked about how it is okay to be different.
We then went on to decorate some socks – I’ll be in trouble with the cleaners as there was glitter everywhere!
After we’d cleared up the mess we sat and talked about kind words and actions. The children came up with these words:
Can you see all the glitter!
At the end of our session we read some of this beautiful book and all had a think about ways in which we could be kind.

One Kind Word…
