Year 5 JS have had a fantastic time so far this week learning all about Greece, Ancient Greek history, religion and mythology. As well as this, we’ve managed to find the time to squeeze in some rather tasty Greek food sampling!

The children had a fantastic afternoon trying out some new tastes – some of which went down a treat, others less so…

I’m really impressed with some of the vocabulary the children found to describe the food’s appearance, aroma, taste and texture. A firm favourite was the pitta with Greek yoghurt.

I’m fairly certain most children found something new which they enjoyed today – thank you for giving it a go children. Next stop, Greek Myth planning!
